The Samajwadi Party’s nominee in Mumbai North-West Abu Asim Azmi on Monday filed his nomination here and declared assets at over Rs. 100,09,48,235.
The amount includes Rs. 1,09,509 in cash; Rs. 33,46,174 as deposits in financial institutions and non-banking financial companies; Rs. 4,07,68,028 as bonds, debentures and shares; Rs. 8,11,086 in financial instruments, Rs. 27,16,265 worth of motor vehicles and Rs. 95,31,97,173 as other assets.
Mr. Azmi filed his papers at the suburban Bandra Collectorate.
He was accompanied by party leaders Jaya Bachchan and Amar Singh.
Mr. Azmi has come under the Election Commission’s scanner after reports alleged that his brother Shahed distributed money among supporters.
